Clinical Insights by PCIP

Privacy notice

How PCIP Ltd uses the details you give us when you register for a webinar, sign up for our newsletter or email us, and what you can ask us to do with them.

Last updated 19 October 2026

The short version

  • We collect only what we need to register you and send your joining link.
  • We never sell your details, and we don't give them to the companies that fund our webinars.
  • We email you about other webinars or our newsletter only if you ticked the box to say yes.
  • We use no advertising or tracking cookies.
  • You can see, correct or delete your details at any time: email enquiries@pc-ip.co.uk.

1Who we are

Clinical Insights is run by PCIP Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17492270), registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ. PCIP Ltd decides how your details are used, which makes us the “controller” under UK data protection law.

For anything about your details, email enquiries@pc-ip.co.uk and put “Privacy” in the subject line.

2What we collect

When you register for a webinar:

Your name
First and last name, so your emails are addressed to you.
Email
To send your confirmation, joining link and reminders.
Profession
Chosen from a list, for example GP or practice nurse.
Where you work
Chosen from a list, for example general practice or community pharmacy.
Practice or organisation
The name of the healthcare organisation or practice where you work, to help us verify professional eligibility and understand the audience attending our educational programmes.
Area(s) of clinical interest
The clinical subjects you tell us about when registering. We use these to understand educational interests, plan future programmes and, where you have opted in, send relevant educational communications.
Your declaration
That you are a practising healthcare professional working in the UK.
Your email choice
Whether you asked for our newsletter and invitations to future webinars.
The date and time
When you registered, and which webinar it was for.
Educational assessments
If you take part, your answers to pre-webinar, post-webinar and follow-up assessments, including knowledge, confidence, educational feedback and reported changes in clinical practice. These help us evaluate educational outcomes and improve future programmes.

When you email us, we keep your email and our reply. When you visit the site, our hosting provider records technical details such as your IP address and browser for a short time, to keep the site running and secure.

Webinars run on Zoom. Zoom records whether you joined and for how long, and any questions you type during the session; we use that to report attendance to funders, in totals only, and to improve future sessions.

3Why we use it

The law asks us to name a lawful basis for each use. Ours are:

To register you
Send your confirmation, joining link and reminders, and run the webinar. Basis: a contract with you, the registration you asked for.
To check you're a healthcare professional
Some of our content can only be shown to UK healthcare professionals under the ABPI Code of Practice. Basis: our legitimate interest in following that code.
To send our newsletter and future invitations
Only if you ticked the box. Basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email.
To report to funders
We tell the companies that fund a webinar how many people registered and attended, and their professions, without names or contact details. Basis: our legitimate interest in showing funders what their grant achieved.
To evaluate the education
We may invite you to short assessments before and after a webinar and an eight-week follow-up, covering knowledge, confidence, feedback and reported changes in practice. Taking part is voluntary. Basis: our legitimate interest in evaluating educational outcomes and improving future programmes.
To keep the site secure
Spot and block misuse, such as automated sign-ups. Basis: our legitimate interest in running a safe service.

We evaluate educational outcomes using attendance records, feedback and assessment responses. We may provide educational funders and accreditation organisations with aggregated, non-identifying information about participation, learning outcomes and reported changes in practice. We do not provide identifiable attendee records to pharmaceutical funders.

4Who we share it with

We never sell your details. We use a small number of companies to run the service for us. They act only on our instructions, under contract, and can't use your details for themselves:

Supabase
Stores the registration list.
Resend
Sends our emails, including your confirmation.
Vercel
Hosts the website.
Zoom
Runs the live webinar.
Google Forms and Google Sheets
Collect and hold educational assessment responses.

We may also share details if the law requires it, for example with a regulator or the police.

5Where it's stored

Some of these companies store or handle data outside the UK, mainly in the United States. When that happens we rely on the protections UK law requires: the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU standard contractual clauses.

6How long we keep it

Registrations
Two years after the webinar, then deleted.
Assessment responses
Two years after the programme ends, then deleted or fully anonymised.
Newsletter list
Until you unsubscribe. We then keep only your email address on a do-not-contact list, so we don't email you again by mistake.
Emails with us
Two years after the conversation ends.
Website logs
Kept by our hosting provider for a short time, then deleted automatically.

7Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Give you a copy of the details we hold about you.
  • Correct anything that's wrong or incomplete.
  • Delete your details.
  • Stop or limit how we use them, including objecting to uses based on our legitimate interests.
  • Send your details to you, or to another organisation, in a common format.
  • Withdraw your consent to emails, at any time.

Email enquiries@pc-ip.co.uk to ask. It's free, and we'll reply within one month. We may ask you to confirm who you are first.

8Cookies

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. When you confirm you're a healthcare professional, your browser keeps a small note of it so we don't ask again. That note stays on your device; it isn't sent to us. You can clear it by clearing your browser's site data.

9Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've used your details, please tell us first at enquiries@pc-ip.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

10Changes to this notice

If we change how we use your details, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If the change is significant, we'll email the people it affects before it happens.
